Our Story
My Younger Brother was 10 when he was diagnosised with Lupus; an autoimmune disease. He is 11 today. Presently, there is no cure for Lupus so he most likely will have to live with the disease the rest of his life. It makes me sad because outside of the disease he is just like the other boys I am around. He likes to watch Sponge Bob and Scooby Doo on television. He likes to play with legos and X-box, he enjoys going to the beach, riding his bike, fishing and playing with our dog. Above all he loves to play and watch ice hockey. His favorite NHL team is the Los Angeles Kings. My life has not changed much but my brother’s life has. Some of medicine will make him moody and not work as well as the medicine with severe side effects. I worry that my brothers life will not be an easy one; so every night before I go to bed I pray that he will get better.
